Xmas

We had a wonderful Christmas!! It was long, but it was great. Tony and i both had to work christmas eve, which we knew we would, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Christmas we woke up and had to drag aden down stairs, he wanted to stay in his crib!!! He had a great time opening his gifts as well as Khloe's. She was more interested in the paper! We had breakfast and headed off to GG (great-grandma's (Tony's grandma)). We do a gift exchange there and we all had a great time. Things got a little crazy, but it wall was good. Everyone oohed and aahed over how cute Khloe was, all dressed up, and Aden in his tie! Then we came back home, unloaded gifts and then loaded again for our Estacada trip. We went to Tony's parents house and did our gifts and relaxed for abit. Then it was off to my parents house for a feast and more gifts!! The kids all had a good time. We were super excited we got a steam cleaner and a new fire place heater!! And then little things here and there. My aunt even sent us some stuff for canning next year!! :) We finally remember to get the camera out to take pictures of Khloe and Aden, and then Khloe threw up all over her dress. :( All in all it was a great year!! And next year I will have a new nephew on my side, and it's too early to tell what Tony's brother, and wife will be having, but hopefully a boy!!! :)

it's been awhile...

Well it's been awhile since I've updated!! Let's see Tony went hunting for 9 days in the Deschutes area, and no one had any luck this year. :( Of course it was a long 9 days, and I tried to keep busy with the kids and working. I had something planned on my days off. We both decided to take a vacation at the end of October and just do something around the house. Well our first task was hooking up our water/ice machine in the fridge. Never again!!! Monday, it had a slow leak, and we noticed after we got home from the pumpkin patch and dinner. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, it was okay, we thought we had it fixed. Wrong. Friday we were watching cartoons in the morning, and all of sudden, we hear this sound, and our thoughts were Oh no a pipe burst! We run in the kitchen to find out the hose was swimming around with water everywhere!!! It was horrible, I ended up doing a ton of towels that day!! And then Saturday after we got home from a Halloween party and Skyler's soccer game, we had another leak! So we decided that we would just keep buying Khloe's water and save our self the hassle of having to clean up water and not have to worry about it leaking or busting off again. Wednesday we just ran around town with his mom, dinking around the mall and having lunch. Thursday we went to Tillamook to the cheese factory. It wasn't as exciting as everyone said it would be. We went and stopped at a light house, and went to Oceanside and played on the beach. We had to take the road by the bay, since the other road was closed. And I freaked out the whole ride, cause we were so close, and I'm deathly afraid of water!!! And we ended up driving up to Rockaway just to check it out. :) All in all it was a good day and a great relaxing vacation!!! :)
Our little Khloe is now 7 months old!!! She is still petite and only in 3 month clothing. :) Aden is doing great with potty training. Some days it's more work than others, but were slowly getting there. We started off with every 20 mins. going potty, then kept pushing it back the more he got the hang of it. Were still struggling with #2, but it will come eventually. That's what everyone else says. We shall see. But we keep telling him, to make Elmo, or Buzz & Woody, happy!! Along with mommy and daddy. :) If he has an accident we tell him it's not okay and were not happy. And he's getting the point. I'm hoping soon he it will just click and he will be fully potty trained! Well I think that's it in a nutshell!!!

vacation!!!

Tony and I are both on vacation this week, before it gets crazy at work for the both of us. It's holiday season, and that equals craziness at work. We've got a couple things planned, pumpkin patch, beach trip to Tillamook. We are having our pictures done by Kelly!! And then some things around the house were gonna clean up and get ready for winter. We have started potty training Aden. He has done good so far, I'm really proud of him. A few accidents here and there but for the most part, he is getting it. Except the #2, so were working on that. And I will say he has the cutest little butt!! Khloe is doing wonderful. I took her in for her 6 month check up and everything looks good, a little small for her age, but nothing to worry about. She is 14 lbs 4 oz. She eats 3 to 4 jars of baby food a day, and has about 3 bottles. :) She also just got her first tooth in!!! YEAH!!! She has only rolled over once, yes she's lazy. And would rather sit up. She can almost do it on her own. She's growing up way to fast. Anyways that's the newest updates for the Allen household.

5 years and going strong

Tony and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary!!! It's crazy, we've been together 10 years and married 5! Time sure does fly by! We have a house, 2 beautiful blessings from God, and each other! We had plans on dropping the kids off with my sister and brother in law and going to Roadhouse for dinner. Well Thursday night, Aden got sick, all night long. He finally stopped throwing up around 5 am. And he was okay the rest of the morning, he even survived a trip to the mall. (A quick one). And was all up for going to see uncle tyler! And he wouldn't get up and walk, he just wanted to sleep. So we decided to stay home instead. Tony took Khloe to the store and went and got us steak, potatoes, so we re-created roadhouse here. He made everything delicious and yummy. He even got chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. :) And bought home 5 orange roses, for every year we've been married, and they were more special since orange was one of our colors at the wedding.
I've just recently stopped breastfeeding, since I'm not producing enough to keep miss Khloe satisfied. (She's a little porker!!) And this time I took it really hard. Feeling like I let her down and myself down. Even though I made it farther with her than with Aden. I just have this guilt about giving her formula. I know she doesn't know the difference but I do and it's hard. And part of it is knowing this was our last baby. (Maybe). But I find myself dwelling about it to much, and how I loved the bond with her. And just that special time we had through out the day. Aah... here are the water works..... I miss being able to comforter her, and being the one she needed. I know she's fine and doesn't know the difference. And I think part of it has to do with the post pardum depression...

Family Reunion

We had Tony's family reunion this past weekend at Fisherman's Bend, near Mill City. Aden got to go down with Papa, Nana, and GG (great-grandma) on Thursday. While Khloe and I stayed home, and packed everything up until Tony got off work on Friday. We went down Friday evening. They had our tent set up and all we had to do was unload. It was a great weekend filled with visiting, chasing kiddo's, and campfire visits. We also had a few surprise visits from family that doesn't usually get to come. Aden had a good time playing with the other kids, but since there all older he had a hard time staying up with them, but he sure did try!! He rode with tricycle and scooters. And we went and threw rocks in the river. Khloe did great too. She got passed around a lot! But she loved all the attention and had lots of smiles for everyone. She did good sleeping, we had a little sleeping bag for her and she slept through the nite!! :) On our way home, both kids slept!! Tony and I both said we could do the camping thing again, since both kids were amazing!! So were hoping to do one more camping trip before summer is over.

it's been awhile

wow it's been awhile since I've updated. Let's see, Aden was super sick a few weeks ago. We ended up in the ER twice. Poor little guy was dehydrated and got an IV. He did awesome though, didn't cry once while putting it in or taking it out!! :) He's tough! After about 6 days of non stop vomiting he finally kicked it out. We had his evaluation today for his speech therapy. and he no long qualifies, and is talking up a storm, and is now mimicking everything you say!
Khloe is almost 4 months!!! She is a little cutie, and has the chubby legs, there sooo cute!! We also just got her ears pierced!!! She looks like a princess!!! :)
We decided to paint our living room yesterday. Tony and his mom went to the store to pick out the color, while Khloe and I went to the grocery store. So Tony was on his own for picking the color. And we ended up with Tangerine Dream. WOW!! It's defiantly different! And bright!! I will try and post a picture, once we get the room put back together! Other than that, were just plugging along at everyday life, with 2 kids! And one obnoxious dog. lol

catch up

Our 4th of July was all right. Tony and I both worked, and the kids went with my in-laws to the parade and spent the day with nana and papa. And the rest of the family when they got there. Tony and I arrived around 6 pm. We played games and chit chatted until the fireworks started. And we both had to work early the next morning, so we were pretty exhausted on Tuesday. Aden is doing wonderful, he is learning to pedal his tricycle. And is talking so clear now, and in sentences. He goes in for his evaluation in a few weeks, and will be done with therapy, but we are so thankful we got all the resources we needed, and now we can use them with Khloe. Khloe is now 3 months old!!! She's growing so fast!!! She is all so teething, constantly sucks on her fist and is drooling like there's no tomorrow. And she sleeps through the night, most nights. There's been a few here and there's where she's gotten up a few times. I've also learned that I have post partum depression. I've been stressing about things that shouldn't be no big deal. And I cry when I have to leave Khloe and go to to work. I have to learn to let things go, and just go with the flow. And to spend some time outside the house with no kids, and spend some time with Tony, when we get a chance. I've been feeling better and doing things the doctor wanted me too. I'm still emotional at times. And I think some of that is knowing Khloe is our last baby, and I won't get to experience any of the baby stuff again. :( But I do love that we are a family of 4!!! :)

busy week....

Wow Heather's wedding is coming up so fast!! All the family is flying in on Wednesday!! My uncle, aunt, grandma, and aunt. And my cousin on Friday evening!! We've got so much planned in such short time!! Thursday is zoo, after Khloe gets shots in the morning. Friday, not sure but maybe wine tasting. Saturday is Multnomah Falls and a bbq. Sunday is wedding day!!! And Monday is beach day, all day. Tuesday everyone will be getting ready to fly home. :( And then on Sunday the 12th... I have to go back to work! :( Boo!! I really wish we could afford for me to be a stay at home mommy. But right now it's just not in the works. Good thing is I will only be working part time. Hopefully Tony can find another job that will pay the same or more, and then I can stay home! :) As soon as we get a few bills paid off.
Khloe is such a good baby!! She's really laid back, until she wants to eat, or has to much gas and needs help. She also loves to snuggle with us! :) And loves to lay on daddy's chest!! She's got him wrapped around her finger all ready!! :)
Aden is doing good. He is doing amazing with his speech therapy. There very impressed how far he has come and all the words he can say clearly and that he is using 2 and 3 word sentences!! He also learned how to climb out of his crib. So we are gonna take the rail off and make it into a toddler bed for him. It's a 4 in 1, so we don't have to buy a bed, when he out grows it.

Khloe likes

Within 6 weeks of Khloe being here I've learned:

She loves to be snuggled up against your chest!
She will be a tummy sleeper, like mommy
she is the most precious gift from God
she will only take a Binky if she wants it, otherwise she spits it out!!
she is adorable in pink and ruffles :)
she sleeps good at night only getting up twice, and sleeps super good in the early morning!!

I love that God blessed us with a girl! She is perfect in every way, even though we were told she may have short arms, and legs, and could have down syndrome. And every time they wanted to do a test or amniocentesis I said no, because God can't give us anything we can't handle. And she's perfect!! And she will be adorable as a flower girl dressed in pink at Auntie Heather's wedding!! :)
And big brother Aden is doing awesome, and adjusting well to having a baby sister!! :)

updates

Khloe has been an awesome baby so far!! :) I'm so blessed. Any everything is checking out good. No worries of this or that being short or to long. She does however have a bad case of being too gassy and not being able to pass it. So for now were living on gas drops to help her out.
Aden has been extremely sick since Wednesday. He got up and was pale and not looking himself. So Tony stayed home with the 2 kids and I was able to get out with my mother in law for a few hours. We went shopping, picked up my dress for Heather's wedding, and went and enjoyed lunch at Sweet Tomatoes with no kids. When I got back home, Aden wasn't doing so well. He had started vomiting. And that continued till Friday, when we went to the doctor. He has a slight ear infection, which has caused his equal Liberian to be off, which in turns cause nausea and vomiting. So they gave us meds. for both. Today has been a bit better. I'm still running on little sleep and I'm napping when I can. Tony has been awesome and getting up with Aden when he needs too. Without him I'd be one big mess!! I just hate seeing Aden so sick, and this is the first time, he's been this sick. He lost 3 pounds too. We just have to keep an eye on him and making sure that he is peeing, at least 2 a day, if he doesn't then it's off to the hospital.

Khloe Lynn

I had some contractions last Monday, and left work and went to the doctor. They were every 7 min. They decided it was best to be induced on Wednesday, if I didn't have baby before then. We went in Wednesday morning, I was emotional leaving Aden, knowing I would be changing his life, by bringing someone else into the family and not knowing how he would take it. Plus the little guy was sick. :( It took all day for me to dialate. A little here a little there. My water was broke @ 8 am, had the epidural by 10:30 am. :) I'm so grateful for those guys!! And nothing all afternoon. The doctor came back @ 5, and I was almost complete, just a little lip left to go. So they went and changed and came back about half an hour later, or so. My in-laws left the room @ 5:56 pm and @ 6:01 pm, Khloe entered the world. It all went fast. She was already crowning by the time the doctor got back, they barely had enough time to break the bed down. They were running around trying to get things ready. I didn't even push, she came right out!! I was breathing through the 2 contractions and out she was. Compared to when I had Aden, this one was more easier!! I pushed for 2 hours with Aden!! She is perfect in every way!! She's a real good sleeper and most the time, we have to wake her up to eat, and strip her down to her diaper to wake her up! I am truly blessed with the family God has chose for me. :) And Mt. Hood hospital was very good to us!!

baby #2

On Monday, at work I started having contractions about 7 min. apart. So after an hour of that, I told them I need to go and came home, and called my doctor to see what I should do. They did slow down. We ended up going into see my doc. so he could monitor the baby and the contractions. I had some pretty big ones, and they were (at one point) 3 to 5 min apart. I was only dialated to a 2. So they sent us home, saying it could be anytime. But if not, they were going to induce me Wednesday morning. I have had 2 seizures in the past, and he doesn't want my body to go through to much stress, cause it could cause me to have a seizure. As they were hooking me up to the monitor they couldn't find the baby's heartbeat! It freaked us out, after 10 min. of trying they finally found it. Talk about being freaked out and scared!!! I will be 39 weeks tomorrow, day of delivery!! I'm ready to see what's cooking in there. But nervous that were gonna be a family of 4 now!! Also, I'm scared to see how Aden will do with the new addition. Next time I post, will be later this week to let u know how things went and what we got!! :)

baby update

Last week I had another ultrasound to see how big baby was. I'm measuring 2 to 3 weeks behind, what I really am. Baby looks good and was measuring about 5 lbs 10 oz. If I go to my actually due date, he thinks the baby will be about 7 lbs. I'm thinking the baby will be early and around 6 lbs. Other than that everything looks good and I have 16 days to go. ::) Were all ready for baby, and I'm working 4 hour shifts, until I go into labor. I'm more and more tired each day, as I'm so uncomfortable it's hard for me to sleep at night. I toss and turn. And last night, Aden was up for about 2 hours between 2 and 4 am. Were not sure what was wrong with him, he just said his tummy hurt. So he got to lay on the couch with daddy and watch some cartoons, and then headed back to bed about 4 am and slept in till 10 am!! So that meant Tony and I got to sleep in! :)

doing okay

I had my 36 week appointment today. Baby's heart rate is good. I'm measuring 33 to 34 weeks, instead of 36. So on Monday there doing another ultrasound to see how big the baby is. I'm 1 1/2 cm dialated!! The doc. is hoping I will wait till at least April to have baby. I'm defiantly ready for this baby to come. I've been sick through the whole pregnancy, and I just want to have one good day of not feeling nausea or throwing up! We have decided on names for sure. If it's a girl it will be Khloe Lynn. and if it is a boy, he will be Ryker Edward. I'm still working and plan on working right up till I have the baby. Tony's going to do the same. And I will be off work, until June 8th. Since Heather and Tyler get married on the 5th, my family is coming into town, and I want to be able to spend time with them. And enjoy my 2 babies!! Aden is doing awesome, he kisses his baby everyday. :) We will see how he does once the baby is actually here. As for potty training, well, it's a work in progress. He will go in the morning for us, when he first gets up. and That's about it. We will try working with him alot more once were both home with him for 2 weeks. But right now, his toys, and reading time are more important. And he is doing awesome with his speech. He is putting 2 and 3 words together and talking up a storm!! More than normal, it's awesome!!

beach getaway

We went to Lincoln City over the weekend, with Tony's parents and cousins. We took our time getting there, since we got lost, and took the wrong exit. And we've been there a hundred times. I kept telling Tony we were on an adventure. We did get there about 2ish. We stayed in a house on the bay, and when we got there we went and played on the bay with Aden. There was no wind, or rain. So we played for over an hour. And we ended up having a fire and roasting hot dogs for dinner. The next day wasn't so nice, there was rain and wind!! So we relaxed and did some shopping and went to an antique mall. It was Tony's birthday, so when we had lunch at Mo's they brought him ice cream, and we all shared it. :) Aden especially liked that! We played some games, and relaxed and Aden loved having all the attention he wanted, when he needed it. Aden also had a first, he got to sleep in his new sleeping bag on the floor. He did awesome! Although he did move all over which is common for him. When we got home Sunday and did some grocery shopping, we put the new crib up. Aden thought it was his new bed. We are slowly but surely getting the next room ready. We have 8 weeks left, and I'm counting down!! Everything seems to be looking good! I'm still measuring a week behind, and the baby's heart rate seems to still be in the 150's and up! I'm ready to see what's cooking in there!! :)

updates....

wow it's been awhile. For the most part I'm feeling pretty good. 9 weeks left!! I learned that my blood sugar is really low, which causes me to get nausea's and feel like I'm gonna pass out. Which I've been feeling lately. This pregnancy is so different than Aden's. I was able to enjoy the last 2 trimesters, and this one it seems like I'm sick, or throwing up at least once a week, which isn't so fun. We ordered crib #2 and it should be here any day, and we've almost got the spare room cleaned out, so we can get it ready for baby, and pull out all the neutral clothes.
Aden is doing excellent with his speech therapy! He is now putting 2 words together, and we can understand him better when he asks for something!! :) In April we are gonna go from twice a month to once a month. Which will be helpful for us, with the new baby. His speech therapist even told us, if we have him evaluated again, he wouldn't qualify anymore, because of all his progress!! Which makes us soooo happy. But it's our choice when we want to do that. But for now were gonna keep going with it.

it's been awhile

it's been awhile since I've updated. Aden is doing great, and more talkative than ever. He refers to my belly button as "the baby". And always lifts my shirt to "kiss" the baby. :) I am now almost 29 weeks, with 11 to go. And I'm so ready to be done. I've been way more sick this pregnancy than in my life. I'm so tired of throwing up!! The doctor was excited when I gained 5 lbs, in a month! I wasn't, but it's all for baby, I needed to gain the weight, since having the flu for 3 days in December didn't do my any good. We have decide if we have a girl her name will be, Khloe Lynn Allen. If it's a boy were still deciding between Zander Edward or Ryker Edward. We might just wait to see if it is a boy, what he looks like. I wanted a name that was different and unusual not common. Although it didn't work that way with Aden. Other than that things are going great. We are going to start on potty training!! Eeks, I'm excited and nervous, last time he didn't want anything to do with it and would freak out when we went to the bathroom. So I'm crossing my fingers this time will be different and he will catch on. I will have a new niece any day. Brad and Ashley are due with Ava any day now. I'm super excited for them. And our kiddo's will be about 11 weeks apart.

Merry Christmas/ Happy New Year

It's been awhile, Lets see Christmas was okay for me this year. Aden was sick on Thursday, it was so sad, to see him throwing up and all he wanted to do was cuddle all day. :) And then with him being so generous, I had it Christmas eve and on Christmas. I felt horrible! No sleep, no eating, no drinking, nothing! I didn't even get to help wrap presents, or play Mrs. Claus. Tony was amazing and did everything, including cleaning the house, and getting stuff prepared for the Christmas since we had such a busy day! He even made an awesome dinner or fillet Mignon and potatoes for christmas, and I didn't eat very much of it. So I went to bed early that night, hoping to sleep it off, but no I was up all night puking and early the next day too. Christmas morning was awesome though, just the 3 1/2 of us. :) Aden had a blast tearing open his hot wheels, lunch box, and his new tricycle!! He also got a bag of tootsie rolls, and bubble bath and a water bottle in his stocking. We want him to know that Christmas isn't about gifts and that it's about Jesus. So we never get him very much. But he was so happy with everything Santa brought him. Tony's parents, and brother and sister in law, and daughter came over for breakfast, and then we did our christmas with them. And then we went to grandma's house and did our exchange over there, and visited with everyone. Then it was on to my parents house. We had a delicious dinner and did our gifts there. Wow! My mom over did it this year, but hopefully next year will be a lot less. But all in all we had a great day, and got to spend it with those that we love. And for Christmas, Heather got engaged!! Tony and I knew for about 10 days, since we went and helped pick out the ring. :) And there getting married June 5, 2011. Less than 6 months!! We are super excited for her and Tyler! And for New Years Tony and I both had to work, so that night it was just Aden and me, we played for abit, watched some cartoons, and Aden ended up falling asleep on the couch about 10:30pm. And Tony got home about 11:45 pm. So we watched the ball drop and I was off to bed. It's hard staying up that late anymore. I'm such an early bird. And speaking of being an early bird, it's way late for me, so I'm off to bed. Happy New Year!!
