xmas time

Wow it's been awhile. We had a great and full day on xmas. Ours started having xmas the 3 of us, at about 730 am, we woke up to a sick baby boy. :( He got a cold, which is amazing since, he had 2 flu shots and the H1n1 shot. Aden wasn't very interested in opening the presents, he was more interested that Elmo was on the wrapping paper!! So i helped him open them, he only got 4 things from Santa, but they were the good ones!! He got 2 monster trucks, a set of mega blocks, and a spin and bounce pony, that interacts with the tv, and intrudes the alaphabet, numbers, shapes, colors and so on... Tony got an Xbox 360 from Aden and me, and I got a box with a teardrop necklace inside!! Teardrops are really rare to find, and hard to get!! I've wanted one for soo long, and everytime we go to look, we just weird looks from the jewelers!! Aden is a walking fool, he walks everywhere now, and he hardly crawls!! He just took to it, like nothing else!! Of course he still does crash or ploop on his bottom, but he gets right back up and goes for it!! :) We had a breakfast with his parents, brother, wife and daughter and then did presents. After that we packed up and headed over to Grandma Allen's for xmas there, and spent a few hours there. THen off to my parents house, in Estacada. And we had a delicious dinner and then gifts. Aden was super excited Auntie Heather got him Elmo underwear and Elmo crackers!! He didn't care about the rest, that was the highlight of his nite!!

Aden is walking so much bettter now, and he will walk if he can!! He does prefer to crawl but we are kinda of forcing him to walk between us. I know I will regret it, but I'm soo ready for him just to take off and run!! Go baby go!!

Xmas

The day after Thanksgiving we started decorating for Christmas. Tony put up our fake tree this year, it's a white tree with pre lit lights on it, we got a killer deal last year on it. So Aden helped Daddy pput it up. Aden is so into the lights and the tree!! He is constanly crawling over by the tree and wanting to touch it. The other nite he broke 2 of our ornaments. They were cheap ones, that we got, so i wasn't so upset about that. Aden is really into books. He is always bringing us a Sesame Street book, to read to him! I love it. And he knows Elmo really well!! He is almost walking!! I'm so excited!! He will take steps here and there, but we try and force him to walk when we can. :)

thanksgiving

So I haven't blogged in awhile, but we've been busy doing updates to the house! Got inslation in under the house, painted dining room, new carpet in living room, and hardwood (laminates), floors in dinning room and kitchen! Whew! Aden is soo close to walking! Were are excited, for this new chapter!! We had a wonderful and long thanksgiving! We started at my parents house in the morning, so we could visit with some friends that came over from Idaho. And then went to Tony's parents house for dessert and watched Ice Age 3. We had a great time visiting and eating. Aden likes cranberry sauce, and stuffing!! Unforuntly he can't have any kind of potatoes, he gets sick from them. (I"m asking doc. at his next check up). And he looked so cute in his white rock 'n roll shirt, with the matching bib!! I went shopping the next morning with Heather, and we got some good deals on the stuff we wanted. And finished the morning out with lunch at Olive Garden with Brandy. It was nice just to be the 3 of us, (plus Adyson). Who will be here in Jan. :) I will say it was a different Thanksgiving, cause we always call and talk to grandma...and since she went home, we didn't call, cause everyone was split going to other houses. (there in Illinois).

Maui

Our trip to Maui was good. The weather was great, 85 Degrees all week, some days were more humid than others. We let Aden play with the sand a little, but all he wanted to do was eat it, so that was the end of that. We did finally take him into the ocean, once we found a beach where the waves weren't big, or didn't creep up on us and get big. He had fun, and even got a little tan!! Everywhere we went, we had to drive! So that was hard, making sure we had everything for him for the day and all that. And try explaining to a 12 month old that the drive is just a few minutes of so. :( But we had fun shopping, playing in the ocean, snorkling, and just sitting around chit chatting about random things. Tony and I did decide that this will be the last vacation for awhile, because it's to hard to travel with an infant and making sure we have everything for him. Our vacations will now be at the Oregon Coast!! LOL
Last week I got a call that my grandma wasn't doing very well. And she couldn't do dialysis anymore because she had gotten blisters on her feet. Then her blood pressure dropped! And Grandpa took her into see the cancer doctor, and he said well I give her a week possible two to live. And that was Friday. My dad left first things Saturday morning to fly out and see her for a week. And she passed away Sunday morning. (we got the call as we were walking out the door for Maui). So it was hard for me. Since I had just seen her weeks ago and she seemed to be doing well. I guess after we left, she wouldn't eat or drink anything. And she was in alot of pain. But I will remember her for what she was, she loved to can veggies and pickles (no one can make a pickle like grandma!!) and photography, bowling, and a passion for collecting anything green! It's still hard, since we couldn't make it for the services. (And I promised myself I would always be at hers, since she was my favorite). So now I'm just trying to recoupe from vacation and a loss. And Aden's all ready for Halloween. He's going to be Yoda! (Surprise). I will try and post some pics when I have some time.

check ups

So I took Aden in for his 1 year check up!! One year old, all ready, it flew by! He is 20 lbs. 10 oz, 29 inches long, and still has a big head!! (I knew that from birth). He is barely hitting the 25% range for his age. I don't know if that's good or bad, but he eats all day long!! Aden only gets 2 bottles of milk a day. And he eats, oatmeal and a fruit, and then dinners and snacks all day long! He is a pig!! I don't know how he could still be so small!! And of all things the doctor always has to point out that Aden has a big head!! Every check up he points that out!! Is that good or bad?? I know he will grow into it, eventually. And he is now starting to stand for longer periods of times. and walks along everything! We are beging to pack for our trip to maui!! We are so excited!! Sunday can't come fast enough. :) I'm so ready to just go and lay on the beach and soak up the rays of sunshine!!

Aden's 1!!

On sunday we decided to celebrate Aden's first birthday! (a day early)! He was so good all day. Of course he decided he needed to be up @ 530 am! So we got started early. We had a bbq with family and a few close friends. He had a blast with all the attention. He was so funny opening presents, everyone gave him a gift bag, so he would stick his head in the bag and see if there was something he liked, if not then he would toss it aside and go for the next one! He got lots of clothes so nothing to exciting for him. He did get some toys, that are more his age appropriate now. And Aden did awesome with the cake! At first he wasn't sure what to do. Then we took his hands and put them in the cake to show him. Then daddy gently put the cake in his face, and then he went for it. And he missed his afternoon nap so he wasn't all the way with it at cake time, but he did get messy. I'm so glad we did the party at our house, cause after the cake he went right to the shower! All in all it was a good day, even though we were tired and snapped at our parents a few times. (not on purpose) we were both on about 5 hours sleep and still fighting a cold. Now were looking forward to Hawaii!! less than 3 weeks then ALOHA!!

anything...

So my baby boy isn't such a baby anymore. :( He will be one in less than 2 days!! Were having a birthday party for him tomarrow with family. Which consists of 50 + people at our house!! so here we are scrambling to get things done. I weent and had little greeting cards made, as a way to say thank you for coming. With a picture of him in the outfit that says "birthday boy"!! And of course Tony and I forgot to get him something!! OOPS!! But were going to put money in his account! :)

On the second note, when we bought our house it was "plumb for the 2nd bath". Yeah it's not!! So we got the official word from the realitors that we have to have a professional plumber come in and make it offfical and make sure there's no pipes anywhere else. And we have to tear up the floor. And then if there's nothing anywhere, we go from there. Such a headache!! PLus we have 3 weeks until Maui!! I'm so looking forward to a vacation!! A relaxing vacaation!!!

time flies....

I can't believe how much time flies with little ones!! Aden will be one in about 2 weeks. It doesn't seem like it. It seems just like yesterday we were making the decision weather to go in and get checked out or not. And then making the 4 am drive to the hospital and 10 hours later actually holding my son for the 1st time!! And look at Aden now, he's crawling, pulling himself up on furniture and slowly starting to walk around the furniture and down the couch!! And he is being very vocal and exploring everything in the house!! Including Chewy's kennel!! Not much as changed since the last time, just time going by. And the fact that were planning his party. I'm hoping the weather will be nice, since were bbq, with the whole family coming.. about 50 or more. Tony and I are doing good, were going to experiment with our schedule's alittle and see if he works 2 mid day shifts during the week, if that will help me out at nights, and then he doesn't have to close the store 4 to 5 nights a week. I would love to have him home more. :)

another day...

Aden's newest move is to pull himself up on anything he can get ahold of. His new one is Chewy's kennel. And we have the "little one" (portable) one on top of his other one. I was talking on the phone and the next thing I know, Aden's standing up by the kennel, getting ready to pull the other one down on himself, I of course jumped in to save him. Aden started laughing thinking it was funny! He's so cute!! If we play with him, he will laugh histarically, with a big grin on his face! And he also learned, when we feed him that, he can spit it out back on you. And that's the new trick usually at every meal. When we give him snacks he's pretty good, but he does try and spit. Tony and I have decide that we want to try and start potty training when he can walk. My Aunt told us, it can happen in 3 days if you follow this directions:
Day 1 Go buy underwear. Let the child pick them out and just talk about them. And that everyone wears them.
Day 2. Put the underwear on and every 15 min. take the child in to the bathroom and set them on the potty. And repeat it every 15 min. And keep the tv off for the day if you can. But set a timer to remind yourself and kiddo that you will be going in every 15 min.
Day 3. Both parents are suppose to take turns going into the bathroom every 15 min. and repeat all day. But that way both parents are a part of it. and reward them when they do go potty.
We hope we can do this, but we will see what Aden thinks. But I think it's a good 3 day try and then we will go from there....

Our trip

We are back from our week long trip to see my family. Aden was great on the planes. Although the first flight he was soo tired that he fought it till the plane took off. And it was hard to get comfortable since I was holding him. We got to see almost everyone, and had a great time. Tony got to go 4 wheeling with my uncle and he forgot he had his phone in his pocket, so now the screen's don't work. He went through the creek and the four wheeler got stuck and he jumped off to get it out and forgot about the phone. Woops!! Good thing for insurance!! I got to spend quailty time with my nana and she is miss gossip queen!! I got caught up about everyone in the family within hours of arriving there! We had a bbq and I got to see the rest of my aunts, uncles, and cousins, and there kids!! Aden got way to much attention and of course he loved it! He also learned how to stand up and pull himself up while we were there. Of course that comes with many bruies and scrapes on his head!! I think he ended up with 4 goose eggs and a scratch! We got to spend some time with my other grandma aand grandpa, she has dialasis and chemo a couple times a week, so some of her time was all ready occupied. But we did spend time with them and got to see the farm and all the new things. Tony and I spent our 3 year anniversery there. We got Nana and two of my cousins to watch Aden and we went out to dinner, which was great. We went to "Prime Quater" and grilled our own steaks. Yummy!! So in all it was a great trip and well worth it. And now we have 6 more weeks and we will be going to Hawaii!! :)

our trip

We've been packing for our trip and I'm just realizing how much stuff Aden will need for a week. And since no one back there has a baby, we have to take everything we think he will need. Wow it's alot but it will be so worth it. Aden will get to meet great grandma A and great grandma and grandpa B. I'm so excited to go, I want to see everyone, I wish we lived closer, so we could see them more often instead of once every couple years. Let's see Aden's got more teeth coming in, and he's defintly on the move now. Getting into everything!! He has discovered that he can crawl into Chewy's kennel and play with his toys, if Tony and I aren't watching him. And he thinks it's hilarious!! He laughs so much now, cause he knows he will get caught!! Other than that I'm just trying to get stuff done on my day offs, so we can leave saturday nite and not have to worry about anything till we get home!!

accident...

I was in an accident about 2 years ago. My fault I re-ended the lady. (Oregon law it's always your fault when u reend someone). And today I just got summonds paper and have 30 days to return it. Mind u I'm leaving for vacation in 7 days. And it just seems like it's a big mess. It went from one dollar amount to another huge one!! I know it's my fault, and I just want it to be done and over with. I've stressed to much about this, and I want to be able to enjoy my vacation and not stress about this or get calls all the time about it. Urg! I wish they only had a year to do another claim or if they want to sue. not the 2 years that your allowed. And they shouldn't be allowed to do it 5 days before the 2 years is up!!

Bath time fun!!

Were crawling!!

Aden has started crawling, actually crawling!! He is getting into everything!! He's dumped Chewy's water dish, numerous times. And we flick his fingers, when he touches things, or gets into things that he's not suppose too. ANd he looks at us and laughs!! It's so hard, to be serious when he looks at us and smiles then giggles.. but were trying. Were getting ready to go on a trip and visist my grandparents, uncles,aunts, and cousins that I haven't seen in over 3 years!! I'm super excited. I got some cute pictures of Aden in the bathtub and at the family reunion and I will try and post them as soon as I can. Since I"m not working awhole lot this week, I should be able to get it done!!

Reunion

We had the Allen family reunion this past weekend down by Mill City. We had a lot of fun and even camped one nite. Although it was very hot!! Aden ran around in his diaper, the whole time. We took him for a walk to the river, and we got there and he was asleep. But he had a great time, being outside and getting attention. Great Grandma had brought a blow up pool and he played in that alot. (I won't post pics. of that cause he was compelety naked) And we took him down the slide. :) He is defintly crawling now!! :) We are going to have to baby proof now! Other than that, we are just being blessed!
I will post pics. when it's not so hot upstairs!! It's 10:30 and it's still 85 to 90 up hear

Hot summer days...

Apparently Aden doesn't like the heat that much...he's been throwing up, even though he's in nothing but a diaper. We have an ac down stairs and one upstairs in our bedroom. So for the next couple nights, Aden will sleep in our room, in his pac 'n play. He sure is teething too, that might be part of it. But were sure it's the heat. He's got all top 4 teeth now, and more coming in on top and bottom!! He's defintly getting around the house alot more too. ANd trying to stand up by the couch and his jumper. Although he hasn't gotten up completely he's almost there. I can't beleive he will be 10 months tomarrow!! It went by way to fast. Well I'm off to try and get some sleep before I hvae to go to work. :( Well try and stay cool everyone....

a little froggy

So Aden's doing great at spending time on his tummy, then sitting up on his own. He gets up on to his feet, almost doing the splits, then wham, right on his tush with a thump. He is also moving around a lot more, he gets on his tummy, and pushs his feet into a frog like position and lunges himself forward. He gets on his knees, but then doesn't know what to do. So he's going to do a little froggy hop to get around now. :) And he's into everything, we have a sleeping bag on the floor, since we have hardwoods, and he thinks it's great if he makes it off the sleeping bag, and heads to the movie rack. And he laughs the whole time he's heading over there, so then we know he's up to something. He also has his top 4 teeth now. He has been a bit crankier/fussy the last 2 days, and I took a peek and they just popped through!! Yeah, so he now has 6 teeth.

I hate that Tony has to work nights. I know it's whats best for us, but I miss him, and Aden too. I don't like that we can't have dinner together anymore, except 2 nites a week, if that. I'm miss paranoid, I don't like staying home alone, with just Aden and Chewy. We don't live in the best neighborhood but we dont live in the worst. It's so hard on a marraige not to be able to spend time together, just the 2 of us. I had a customer, tell me she would watch our baby for a few hours so we could go out, but it would be weird for the both of us. but she said she felt so convicted to talk to me and tell me that, that she started crying in my checkstand!! I can't belive that I would have a stranger offer to sit for us. Don't get me wrong, we have family that will watch him, but sometimes it just feels like it's a burden to them or to us. To have to ask someone to watch him for a couple hours, it's our baby not theres, and were not paying them. I just feel wierd about it. (I've been in a wierd mood lately and the little things are turning into big things and big matters, when they shouldn't. I think I'm being convicted about it.) The little things don't, and shouldn't matter, let them go, but for some reason I can't. So on a good note, in about a month Tony and I, with Aden, are going to go see my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, in Illinois!! My grandma has cancer, and she's doing chemo, radiation and everything else. And I want to make sure she meets Aden, before anything happens. And I wanted to spend time with her, someone is telling me I NEED to go. So we will spend a week with all of them. Then when we get back we will have Aden's first birthday, and then we will be off to Hawaii for a week, then all of the holidays after that. Wow so much is going to happen so fast!! All right, I'm off to bed.

Todd did it!!

Yeah for Jessica and Todd. They've accomplished so much, and been through tough times. And they got married!! Jessica welcome to one crazy family!! I'm so proud of you Todd, you've been through tough times and good times. You are one amazing man. I would have never thought that you would go through college, get your degree, and get married!!? Crazy but I'm sure glad you did it. The ceramony was beautiful. I of course watched from way back, because Aden felt that he need to talk and talk. Of course he was quiet and content before it started. So I didn't get any pics. :( It was also great to see alot of family and friends from high school. The evening went on with festivites and what not, we had to leave early (bummer), cause it was Aden's bedtime and Auntie Heather needed to get back. but we did have a great time. I will say I do miss living in Estacada at times. There's really no one out here to go and visit.

On the other hand, Aden now has his top 4 teeth!! YEAH!! And he is getting up on his feet and hands. I went to go capture him out of bed this morning and he was sitting up, with his hands on the rail ready to pop up and over the crib!! Freaked me out!! So tonight, daddy and I are going to lower the crib down, all the way down!! It won't be too long before he's moving all over the house!!

a lil of everything

Well all is going good, except Aden has 4 teeth coming in at once. His top teeth and the eye teeth. He's cranky every now and again, but today it was worse. Nothing seemed to help!! Tomarrow Tony's brother is getting married and Aden is the ring bearer, so I'm hoping we have a good day. at least till he gets down the isle! Other than that he is getting up on his knees, so I think within a month or so, he will be crawling!!

I got a call the other day from my insrance agent, saying the accident I was in 2 years ago, I now have a "suit" being processed. The only good thing, is that if they don't do anything or I don't get served papers by Monday the 13th, they can no longer do anything! Of course everything was paid and dealt with, when this happened 2 years ago!! So were crossing our fingers that nothing will happen or come out of this. We got tickets to go and see my grandparents in a month, I"m so excited. I haven't seen them since our wedding and that fall. So I"m do for some grandparent time and ready to see aunts, uncles, and cousins!! It's hard being so far away from everyone!!

4th of July

fireworks

The 4th of July started out good. Aden and I went to the parade in Estacada, and he watched the whole thing, he was in awe of the sirens and lights. He got bored towards the end, he was also tired. I was cutting into his nap time! Then we went to Nana and Papa's had a bbq and played games the rest of the day. Of course he got passed around, and everyone played with him. We went to go sit in our spot to watch the fireworks and Aden passed out. We figured he would wake up once he heard the booms, since we weren't that far away, maybe 200 feeet. Nope, he slept through the whole thing!! I was kind of sad, i wanted him to see them but, it was all ready past his bedtime. So we enjoyed them, then waited for everyone else to leave, then we made the drive home. So it was a good 4th of July this year!!

TEETH!!

Aden has 2 more teeth coming in! Yeah!! He has had his bottom 2 teeth for almost3 months now. He has his 2 eye teeth coming in on the top. So we've decided he is going to look like a vampire!! Were still trying to "force" him to crawl, or atleast get on his knees. We put him on his knees and he just face plants himself! We think he's stuck in reverse! He will scoot off of his blankets, (we have hardwood floors) and just keep going backwords, into the dining room or into the other part of the living room! I know my son is lazy, but I wish he would catch up with what he is suppose to be doing at this age!!I mean, he didn't even roll over till he was 6 months!! I just want everything to go perfect and I know it wont, but I just wish he would crawl sometimes!!

Fathers Day

For Father's day, we decided to have both of our familes over for a bbq. It went really well, us girls bbq and made the meal and the guys sat around the fire chatting away. Tony had to work that morning so it was just me and Aden. Aden decided to do a "stepping stone" for daddy. So Heather and Tyler (boyfriend) did them and they turned out great. It's got Aden's hand and feet on them. And we also got Tony a bbq set, with all the utensil's for bbq, since we've been using our kitchen ones, I decided it would be nice to have a set. It went really good and I know Tony enjoyed every minute of it. We got my dad a new bbq for Father's day. And he was surprised and very thankful! Both grandpa and papa got a cement stone of Aden's hand and feet too. :)

On the other hand, Aden is doing so much better now. He isn't coughing, if he does its very rare and not as bad as before. He has an appetite now, the other morning he ate 2 bowls of oatmeal and a jar of fruit!! WOW! He has been drinking more of the formula too, so we've uped his ounces to 7 and he downs it in no time!! He's starting to put on some weight, which is good. Anyways that's all the news for now!! :)

sickness

I've had the last couple days off, and we got some things accomplished. We took an old dresser to good will, got a new one from a friend, got it stained! Tony had some alone time while Aden and I went to the mall and meet my sister, nephew and neice. We just strolled through the mall, poking our heads into various stores. And got Tony his Father's day present. Aden has been sick with "croupe cough" and he has been coughing so hard that he's thrown up, had tears running down his face. And they won't give us anything for it. :( I feel so bad, cause he looks @ us and has that look of help me, I'm in pain. He has had no appetite. We tried feeding him baby food and he spits it out, or turns his head away from it. He has started eating more formula, which is good, cause he's wetting his diapers more often. But still not as often as I would like. They told us the best thing for him is "fresh air" so I've been taking him outside as much as I can. But we feel so bad for him. :( On the good side, he has been sitting up on his own, and doing great with it. were trying to get him to crawl and catch himself when he falls. :)

sick

Yesterday I got up and ready for work, and got all Aden's stuff ready to go, since he would be spending a couple hours with a family member. I had to wake him up, and noticed he had a temp. So I took it and it was high, 101.2 and I called his doctor and they told me that was fine, until it got to 102 not to worry, just to give him Motrin. And now he's sick, horrible, coughing, sneezing, eyes are red. And he has been coughing so hard that he is spitting up mucas! So I stayed home with him yesterday and relaxed and tried to get his temp. to come down. About 5 it finally broke!! I was releived but he wasn't eating and cranky.

aahh life is so sweet with an 8 month old. I love the fact that he is actuall laughing now!! It just puts a smile on my face, anytime!! Aden is also "talking" in his terms. it's usally babbababa followed by him spitting! He is the best baby ever!! (I'm sure every mom says that!) Tony and I went out to dinner tonight, and Aden just sat in his car seat, talking away and playing, so Tony and I both enjoyed our dinner and had an adult converstation. :)

Today Aden and I went for a walk, it was nice and relaxing just breathing in fresh air and being outside. Ever since camping, he loves to be outside, he just smiles from ear to ear. After about an hour of being out and about we came back took a little nap. We then went out into the front yard and sat on the swing. I chatted on the phone for a bit, and I look over and Aden's passed out on the swing, it was only 7:30! And he's been asleep ever since. Which means he will be up early. Well that's our little one, he won't sleep in, up at 7 am every morning. Well I guess I should hit the hay, I have to work tomarrow early and have some chores to do when I get home. :)

summer fun

Aden's doing all right with the heat. Although the other nite, he was up a couple times with Tony. He finally took him downstairs and he was out! But when they came back up stairs, he was up 45 min. later, cause it was really warm up here. So I've decided that he will be sleeping in a onesie from now on. We are going to try and get a ceiling fan and an air conditioner upstairs. Today we went for a walk with Aunt Heather to go get ice cream, he had little bites here and there, and since he's teething, it felt really good on the gums. We've discovered that he likes oatmeal! He's starting to like more fruits, but would prefer veggies. He loves Squash!! His favorite is butternut squash and harvest apples, weird but hey he's eating it. He also loves to watch Sprout! It's on PBS and it's a preschool channel, but it's educational and they speak in different languages and sign language. He's got a few favorite shows, and if we would let him, he would watch it all day. Of course we don't. :) I've been trying to take him outside every evening and sit with him on the swing. Today he just laugh and laughed, it was the cutest thing ever. No one was around just him and me, and chewy. And he was laughing, I just smiled, I'm so blessed to have him. :)

Camping

"Mr. Hollywood"

We all went camping for the weekend. Aden was awesome the whole time!! We took his jumper and he played in that everyday and of course got passed around the camp fire. He slept through the nite, excpet for one nite he got up @ 4 and wanted a bottle. Which is wierd but he wanted it and got it. Aden got the a new nickname "MR. Hollywood". We had his sunglasses on and an sun hat, we didn't want him to get sun burnt since he has fairly lite skin. It was a nice and relaxing weekend for Tony and I as well. We chit chated with everyone about random things, and played games, took Aden and Chewy for a walk, and didn't have to stress about anything. Everyone was great with helping us with Aden, which was awesome!! So we know he will be ready to go camping in about 2 months, which will be the family reunion.

The last couple days it's been nice, we've been trying to take Aden out as much as possible. Friday I went to my sister's and we put Aden in the stroller to go get Skyler and Destiny off the bus. He looked adorable with his new hat on, sunglassses and of course the paci!! He was all smiles. Yesterday we sat outside on the swing and played with Aden and he loved it!! Just soaking up everything we talked about and all his surroundings. He's been doing ok with the heat, I think he got heat rash though. I really want him to get use to the heat, since we will be going to Hawaii in October.
Friday we are going camping, so I'm excited to see what this adventure brings us. We will be in Estacada, close to our parents homes, but I don't want to go there. We want Aden to camp, cause we do alot of it and want him to grow up with all the adventures each year brings us. It will be a nice and relaxing weekend for us, there's a few other couples going, so we will just sit around and enjoy each other's company and see what the weekend brings. :)

mother's day

My 1st Mother's day was great. Aden and I spent Saturday with Grandma and Grandpa. Heather and I went with mom and got pedi's!! The first one I've had, since I had Aden. It was nice and relaxing and I knew Aden and Grandpa were watching cartoons, so I could relax and not worry about him. Tony's parents joined us for a bbq later and we had quite the feast!! Dad bbq ribs, chicken, asparagus and a couple different salads and dessert!! We gave Aden the end of an asparagus and he chewed on that for awhile. Sunday morning I had to work, so Aden got to hang out with Nana and Papa. Then we went to a family members house for Mother's Day and had another bbq. I got there late cause I had to work till 4. But I did get 2 flowers to plant in the yard and another yard ornament. It was nice. :) Then we came home and Tony took care of Aden the rest of the nite, and just let me relax. Tony made dinner for us Monday nite and it was Delicious as always. He's an awesome cook!! We were watching tv. and looked over and Aden had fallen asleep in his jumper!! He was too cute!!

Today we ventured out with his mom, and got Aden some shoes and sandals. Lets just hope he will actually keep them on!! He loves to be barefoot, he always has his socks off within minutes of putting them on. Aden is in a wedding this summer, so we went and bought him a tux! He is such a stud in it!! I can't wait till the wedding when we see him, "walk down the aisle" (He's being pulled in a wagon). He is developing more and more everyday, he is a sponge to everyone and is taking everything in.

loving life

I was thinking abit today...I don't really know when I got the time, but I did. And I never realized how much of ahelp and what an amzing husband I have. He gets up with Aden every morning, between 7 and 8, changes him, feeds him. And then he falls back asleep on the couch, so I can sleep in, on my days off. Otherwise I'm usually up and gone by 6:45 am. On the other hand, I'm grateful for that but wish Tony and I had more time to spend together with Aden. I leave for work @ 6:;45 am ish. And get home about 1 or so. And then Tony leaves for work and doesn't get home till after 11 pm. ANd by then we are both fast asleep!! We don't want to pay a babysitter and are blessed with the family that does watch him when we need them too. or if they offer. I know it will get better in a couple years or so, but I want it now. :) Anyways I must say I have an amazing husband and a wonderful amazing son, Aden. I'm truley blessed

beach trip

Well we went to Lincoln City for the weekend. We weren't sure how the car ride would go with Aden and Chewy. We all arrived in one piece and alive! We of course had to stop at Safeway and hit the Starbucks for hot water, so Aden could eat. Then we ventured on to the hotel well, we got what we payed for! It was so bad, it just made us feel dirty. We then got everything up in the room and hit the beach, it was sunshining and warm. Never happens at the beach. So I got Aden in the front pack and we were off. He did awesome!! He just looked around and took it all in. Then the next couple days we ventured out and went shopping and went to a couple antiquie shops and drove into Depot Bay. And over all I'm glad we got a weekend away with the 3 of us. It's been along time (well 7 months) since we've done anything. And I must say Aden said his first words. Mama!! I was ecstatic!! And then on the way home he said Papa!! He's getting big so fast!! Oh my, I tell Tony allmsost everyday how blessed we are with him, and that God gave him to us when He knew we were ready!!

Today I let Aden play on the floor, and have some tummy time. Well he now can roll over and then on to his back again!! Huge accomplishment! All he wanted to do was sit up!! I was watching tv, when I looked down and he had scooted himself all the way over to me, and was playing with my slippers!! And he sleeps with his knees up, like he's ready to crawl!! Soo cute!! He is becoming very vocal about things, especially when he wants someone to pay attention to him. Well we are off to the beach this weekend, for a getaway, since we had him! I'm anxious to see what he thinks of it and maybe we will put him in the sand! Well I"m off to pack!

life goes on...

Aden's sick, again! He's got a really bad cough, this time. So Tony took him into the doctor, ( i had to work), and they said he has a cold, and there's nothing we can do for him. :( IF he starts weezing, and not "wetting" his diapers more, then we have to take him back. And I guess it's that time of year for pnemonia. And then to top it off, Aden & Chewy were with Angie on Saturday, and I get a text that Chewy has ring worm! So he was in his kennel all day, except when they were outside. I stop by PetSmart on our way home, to see if they have any meds for it, and no. You have to take him in to get meds for it. So i didn't go into work on Sunday, because of Aden, and Chewy. so I get up and take Chewy into the Vet hospital, where he barks @ everything!! And of course the red ring, has gone away, you can still see it, but barley. The doctor comes in and says he got bit by a spider and he's got a yeast and bacteria infectoin in both ears!! WOW! My day was just getting better with that news, so more meds for that and for the bite on his stomach!
Yesterday it was so nice out, that when I got off work, I came home and sat outside on the swing with Tony and Aden! He was happy as could be for a sick little guy. He defintly was enjoying being outside with both of us. :) I'm remind everyday, when he smiles at us, what a blessing he is, in so many ways!

So Tony and I decided it would be nice to get away for a weekend and spend time together, the 3 of us. Since we work opposiste shifts, we don't see each other that much, if at all. So I'm super excited to go to the beach in a few weeks. :) And it will be Aden's first time going. We were going to go before I went back to work, but we got all the snow, and Aden got sick. Aden is finally rolling over!! He just doesn't know how to roll back, on to his back. He doesn't like being on his stomach that much, so he gets mad after 5 min. or so of being on his tummy! He is doing great on eating his veggies! He loves squash, and hates carrots!! I think were going to try some fruit this next week. He's got to try alot of the veggies, and is doing great with eating them. He gets so excited when he sees the bowl and spoon. And I think were going to try him with some fruit juices and his new cup to see how he does with that. Other than that, he's a great 6 1/2 month!!

sunshine

The last 2 days have been nice!! We took Aden out yesterday and let him play outside while daddy cleane the garage out. Aden ended up falling asleep on the swing with me. :) Then we took a walk to home depot, Pet Smart, & babies r us. It was nice to be out with my boys, on a nice day and relaxing and not feeling rushed. PLus I didn't have to do it all myself. Aden's been a bit more cranky lately, were not sure if he has more teeth coming in. He had a slight fever tonight so I gave him motrin, and put orajel on his gums. :( I think he's got either a cold or has allergies, he's had a runny nose and coughing, to the point he gags himself or he acts like he's going to throw up. :( I just wish he could get over it, and now I've got it, so I don't want to be around him to make him more sick, but I have no choice when I'm the only one home with him @ nites. Anyways it will work out. :)

6 months!!

So Aden is now 6 months old!! Time has gone by fast. We took him in for his 6 month appointment, and he is now 16 lbs 10 oz, 26 1/4 '! He is finally gaining weight nicely and has moved up to the 50% range. He still has a big head for his age, but the doc. said the rest of him is finally catching up. They also said we can start giving him baby food, but to start out with veggies, since there not as sweet. So I tried to feed him some green beans the other nite and he just spit them back out at me!! So we tried again tonight, (daddy was home), and he actually kept a few of them down!! YEAH!! So I think tomarrow we will try squash or sweet potatoes. He isn't much into the rice cereal, which the doc. said was fine, some babies like it other's don't. :)

Teeth!!

We found out today Aden has got 2 teeth. His bottom 2 just popped through! He's been a bit fussier and chewing on his hands alot lately. Now we know why. He's so silly, we give him teething toys, rings, anything, and he just throws them across the room and goes straight for his hands! So now that he is 6 months today, he still hasn't rolled over or anything. Althought he is determinded to sit up. He does really good for about 30 sec. to a min. and then just flops over. :) But I guess his time will come when he's ready to do it he will. :) He's my little blessing!!

My Aden

So, Tony's feeling better. YEAH!! Aden is still sick, :( He gets into bad coughing spells and can't stop, and I feel bad cause there's nothing we can do. We can only do the inhalor so many times a day, but that doesn't work all the time. I wish I could take it from him so he would feel better and more himself, but I know I can't. Even though were going on all most a month of him being sick, he is still smiling and laughing (when we get him too). He's a smiley, bubbly, little man in the mornings. I'm just getting concerned, cause he isn't eating as often as he should be and he seems to be urping up more of the formula. I guess we will just have to watch and if something doesn't seem right I know what to do. I'm so blessed to have a happy little boy, God gave him to us when He knew we were ready. :)

sick boys :(

Well Aden had a cold, or so we thought, I took him to the doctor to be checked out, to make sure it wasn't more serious. And he has bronchilitis, which he is working a lot hard to breathe. He didn't get any better so I took him back Saturday the 21st, he seen another doctor, and she said he had bonchilities and rsv!! And she gave us an inaholor to use on him. And it seems like everyday he just gets worse. Poor guy has to sleep sitting up, with a humidifer running on him all nite. We go back in 2 weeks to see if it's better or not and go from there. And Tony called me today and he has it too. So he doesn't want to be around Aden and get him more sick, so now I'm doing everything for him, without help. But it will get better, I know. :)
