Khloe's 1!!!

My goodness how time flies! Khloe is 1 all ready. She is the sweetest ever. I took her in for her one year check up, and she really it tiny. Not even on the charts. She's 16 lbs. 14 oz and in the 5th percentile, along with her height, she's 27 inches. But other than that she is a healthy baby. There isn't anything we can do to help her gain weight, she eats like a little pig! She's constantly eating, and when she see us with something, she has to have a bite. It was also recommended we keep her rear facing till she's 2. We made a cake for her on her actually birthday and let her have at it. She loved it, thought it was great. She was a mess, but it was well worth it. We had her party this last weekend, and she got sick the night before. :( Hoping it was a 24 hour bug, we were wrong, she's still sick. She looks so miserable! She did perk up a little at her party. She had fun opening her gifts, which were pretty boring to her since they were all clothes! But momma loved it, she got tons of summer clothes and all in bright colors. :) And she loved the cake too. Daddy made it with bright colors, four layers, pink, green, purple and blue, neon food coloring works wonders. She will stand on her own a little and then realize what she's doing and flops right down, She will walk along the couch or if you hold her hands she will walk, I'm hoping soon she will be up and running. :)

a great weekend!!

This weekend we celebrated Tony's 30 bday!!! He wanted to get out and go do karaoke. I made reservations at The Shamrock Bar and Grill. We had about 30 family and friends come and celebrate with us. Tony had a great time doing karaoke, and was even the first person doing it!! And then his cousins got up there with him and did a couple songs, it was hilarious!! And a great time. It was nice to get out and not worry about the kids and have some us time. And it's the first time we've been in a bar since before Aden was born!! And weren't not very big bar people anyways, since Tony's the only one who drinks beer on occasion. And Sunday, Papa got tickets for Aden and Tony to go see Monster Trucks, so they got to do that on Tony's bday!! His mom and I cooked shrimp taco's, and went to a candle party. It was a nice quiet afternoon with Khloe!! It felt like I hadn't seen him all weekend. He was gone Saturday morning at the sportsman show with his dad and cousin. Sunday night, we had a little left over cake from his party, and we put a candle in it. and Aden and I sang Happy Birthday to daddy!! I love the silly little memories!!

Today we ran a few errands, decided to go to the mall and just walk around. We stopped and got a coffee at our favorite place, Seattle's Best!!! And let Aden play in the play area at the mall, which we hardly ever do. Because it's usually crowded and full of germs!! We've all ready decided our kids will never play in play area's at fast food restaurants. We've read and seen to many things that are gross and disgusting. So they will never play in them!!! And we came home had a nice lunch and then it was nap time!!! And Tony cooked us a good dinner, steak, baked potato and a salad. YUMMY!!!! No big plans for Vday, and to us it's a hallmark day. I would rather have the random surprises through out the year, instead of knowing I'm getting something on a certain day. :) And then my 4 day weekend is over, and I'm back to work on Wednesday. :)

a bit of an update

Im not sure when I've updated last but here it goes. Aden and Khloe are both healthy now. Aden had strep and an ear infection on New year's eve. Khloe got an ear infection 3 days later. Khloe also had her 9 month check up!! 9 months!!! It's flying by. Overall she is doing good, they were concerned because she isn't pulling herself up yet, so they want us to see a physical therapist. She is still in the 5% for her weight. Although she does eat like a pig! 3 bottles a day (6 oz), and 5 jars of food, she would much rather have food than the bottle. And she is scooting around like crazy, backwards. She wants to go forward but just hasn't gotten it yet. Aden is doing good and he's working on his alphabet and numbers. He can count to 10 and do a few of the alphabet on his own. He really wants to go to school. And he is doing really well potty training. Although we do have to remind him to go. ::) It will come eventually. I'm going to be an aunty again, twice this year!! My sister is having a boy in May. and My sister-in-law is due in August and they won't know until March what there having. Were all hoping for a boy. They have 2 girls all ready. :) But as long as it is healthy that's all that matters. Tony is turning 30 in a few weeks, and he wants to go do karaoke. So we booked an area at a bar, and that's what were gonna do. :) I think that's it about now....

Xmas

We had a wonderful Christmas!! It was long, but it was great. Tony and i both had to work christmas eve, which we knew we would, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Christmas we woke up and had to drag aden down stairs, he wanted to stay in his crib!!! He had a great time opening his gifts as well as Khloe's. She was more interested in the paper! We had breakfast and headed off to GG (great-grandma's (Tony's grandma)). We do a gift exchange there and we all had a great time. Things got a little crazy, but it wall was good. Everyone oohed and aahed over how cute Khloe was, all dressed up, and Aden in his tie! Then we came back home, unloaded gifts and then loaded again for our Estacada trip. We went to Tony's parents house and did our gifts and relaxed for abit. Then it was off to my parents house for a feast and more gifts!! The kids all had a good time. We were super excited we got a steam cleaner and a new fire place heater!! And then little things here and there. My aunt even sent us some stuff for canning next year!! :) We finally remember to get the camera out to take pictures of Khloe and Aden, and then Khloe threw up all over her dress. :( All in all it was a great year!! And next year I will have a new nephew on my side, and it's too early to tell what Tony's brother, and wife will be having, but hopefully a boy!!! :)

it's been awhile...

Well it's been awhile since I've updated!! Let's see Tony went hunting for 9 days in the Deschutes area, and no one had any luck this year. :( Of course it was a long 9 days, and I tried to keep busy with the kids and working. I had something planned on my days off. We both decided to take a vacation at the end of October and just do something around the house. Well our first task was hooking up our water/ice machine in the fridge. Never again!!! Monday, it had a slow leak, and we noticed after we got home from the pumpkin patch and dinner. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, it was okay, we thought we had it fixed. Wrong. Friday we were watching cartoons in the morning, and all of sudden, we hear this sound, and our thoughts were Oh no a pipe burst! We run in the kitchen to find out the hose was swimming around with water everywhere!!! It was horrible, I ended up doing a ton of towels that day!! And then Saturday after we got home from a Halloween party and Skyler's soccer game, we had another leak! So we decided that we would just keep buying Khloe's water and save our self the hassle of having to clean up water and not have to worry about it leaking or busting off again. Wednesday we just ran around town with his mom, dinking around the mall and having lunch. Thursday we went to Tillamook to the cheese factory. It wasn't as exciting as everyone said it would be. We went and stopped at a light house, and went to Oceanside and played on the beach. We had to take the road by the bay, since the other road was closed. And I freaked out the whole ride, cause we were so close, and I'm deathly afraid of water!!! And we ended up driving up to Rockaway just to check it out. :) All in all it was a good day and a great relaxing vacation!!! :)
Our little Khloe is now 7 months old!!! She is still petite and only in 3 month clothing. :) Aden is doing great with potty training. Some days it's more work than others, but were slowly getting there. We started off with every 20 mins. going potty, then kept pushing it back the more he got the hang of it. Were still struggling with #2, but it will come eventually. That's what everyone else says. We shall see. But we keep telling him, to make Elmo, or Buzz & Woody, happy!! Along with mommy and daddy. :) If he has an accident we tell him it's not okay and were not happy. And he's getting the point. I'm hoping soon he it will just click and he will be fully potty trained! Well I think that's it in a nutshell!!!

vacation!!!

Tony and I are both on vacation this week, before it gets crazy at work for the both of us. It's holiday season, and that equals craziness at work. We've got a couple things planned, pumpkin patch, beach trip to Tillamook. We are having our pictures done by Kelly!! And then some things around the house were gonna clean up and get ready for winter. We have started potty training Aden. He has done good so far, I'm really proud of him. A few accidents here and there but for the most part, he is getting it. Except the #2, so were working on that. And I will say he has the cutest little butt!! Khloe is doing wonderful. I took her in for her 6 month check up and everything looks good, a little small for her age, but nothing to worry about. She is 14 lbs 4 oz. She eats 3 to 4 jars of baby food a day, and has about 3 bottles. :) She also just got her first tooth in!!! YEAH!!! She has only rolled over once, yes she's lazy. And would rather sit up. She can almost do it on her own. She's growing up way to fast. Anyways that's the newest updates for the Allen household.

5 years and going strong

Tony and I just celebrated our 5 year anniversary!!! It's crazy, we've been together 10 years and married 5! Time sure does fly by! We have a house, 2 beautiful blessings from God, and each other! We had plans on dropping the kids off with my sister and brother in law and going to Roadhouse for dinner. Well Thursday night, Aden got sick, all night long. He finally stopped throwing up around 5 am. And he was okay the rest of the morning, he even survived a trip to the mall. (A quick one). And was all up for going to see uncle tyler! And he wouldn't get up and walk, he just wanted to sleep. So we decided to stay home instead. Tony took Khloe to the store and went and got us steak, potatoes, so we re-created roadhouse here. He made everything delicious and yummy. He even got chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. :) And bought home 5 orange roses, for every year we've been married, and they were more special since orange was one of our colors at the wedding.
I've just recently stopped breastfeeding, since I'm not producing enough to keep miss Khloe satisfied. (She's a little porker!!) And this time I took it really hard. Feeling like I let her down and myself down. Even though I made it farther with her than with Aden. I just have this guilt about giving her formula. I know she doesn't know the difference but I do and it's hard. And part of it is knowing this was our last baby. (Maybe). But I find myself dwelling about it to much, and how I loved the bond with her. And just that special time we had through out the day. Aah... here are the water works..... I miss being able to comforter her, and being the one she needed. I know she's fine and doesn't know the difference. And I think part of it has to do with the post pardum depression...
