a scary moment

While I was at work today, I was there 4 hours. My manager walks up to me while I'm checking and says you've got an emergency phone call on line 1, go and take it and I will check for you. So as I'm walking over to customer service, which felt like it was five hundred feet away, I have so many things rushing through my head. Who died? Got an accident? What could it be, I swear I went through 1000 + things in my head. I pick up the phone it's Tony, my heart drops, I know it's Aden. I know it is. And well it was. He decided to get up on the dinning room table, while Tony was doing dishes. And got my little container of pills, that I refill for my use everyday, since I take so many vitamins and seizure meds. He had actual put a prenatal vitamin in his mouth and then spit it out, since it was in a gel form, and it was the DHA. Which wouldn't have hurt him. But my goodness, it gave me a heart attack!! He didn't end up taking anything or eating any of them. So we've now decided that I will keep them in a medicine bottle, so he can't get the cap off. And I have to keep it some where visible or I won't remember to take them. I have the worst memory ever! I'm so thankful that it wasn't anything worse!

Father's Day

Tony had to work on Father's day! Bummer, but he ended up getting off early. We had everyone over to our house, and we had a bbq. Angie and I made tons of kabob's the night before. Since last year, we were stuck in the kitchen and making them to order for everyone! So we though we would be smart and make them up the nite before, which was a great idea. It took us about 2 hours or so, to make all of them up. And Tony got a new weed whacker for father's day. He got it early, since our grass had grown so much, that our little push lawn mower couldn't handle it. lol!! But we had a great bbq, and all though it rained, we had a little canopy set up and Tony's dad brought over a tarp, and put it up across our deck, so we could bbq without getting wet, and that way we could sit up on the deck too!! The kids had a great time playing and running around!! Aden was a bit of a crabby butt, but I really think his molars are coming in. Heather and I went shopping that morning, which was great. I love spending time with her, since they don't live close anymore! :( All in all it was great day!!

a little bit of everything....

I decided Monday nite, that it was time to cut aden of the binkie! I put him to bed as usual, without the binkie. He cried for maybe 5 minutes, and he was out! Didn't wake up at all during the nite. He also woke up Tuesday morning, smiling and laughing! I loved it!! He did great all day Tuesday without it, all though nap time was a little more harder, he did finally get a nap! But I think we have successful have a grown baby boy! Who no longer depends on a bottle or binkie!! WOOHOO!! I've been wanting to get rid of it for so long, but Tony wanted him to have it, so he could still be our baby boy! On the other note, we went in for our evaluation results, regarding Aden's hearing. They did another hearing test on him, and he is much like Tony, he produces way to much wax, so they couldn't get a clear reading. So we took him back, and he passed!! He's not deaf!! He just doesn't want to talk! We did notice some other things, like he always has his mouth open, and he drools, but that's due to teething. And they are going to have a speech pathologist come and work with Aden twice a month, to see if we can start to get other sounds coming out of him. And in the Fall we are going to attend a workshop and it's "Too can Talk" and it will help us with out next baby and what we can do, early on, to help them with talking and having a conversation with them! It's a 10 week course, but they all said it is well worth it. So now we just have to get it off work, so we can go. I'm pretty excited about it. And we've decided to trade Tony's truck in, hopefully in the next couple months. It's not family friendly for us. Aden has to sit in the middle, the car seat won't fit on the side's comfortably. We're going to get something that can hold 6, if we need it too. I would love extra seats, but 6 would be fine. Just in case we have to travel with someone else, and are limited to cars, they can ride with us and have room!
